Through my previous tenure within the roles that I have assumed, I gained valuable experience that I intend to apply towards advancing our shared goals, as your next President. If elected, I would take the opportunity to make Senate more accessible to all students. As NJIT continues to grow, it is important to make changes within Senate aligned with a larger population. To do so, I will dive into Student Senate’s structure in order to find a more effective model. I would host town halls to foster more communication and accountability between students, senators and administration and continue to advocate for DEI, such as advocating for female focused gym hours which I have already begun supporting. Lastly, I would use the role to run more community outreach programs throughout the year within the external affairs committee, open to all students to give back to the community we are a large part of.
